SU Closes

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the closing of Shrouded Universe. Since our earliest days we have struggled with active membership and recently we have fallen into a lull which we have not been able to get out of. Therefore, we have decided to shut the doors.
When this board was first created, we tried to bring something new that we hoped would attract people here. We tried to loosen the guidelines and create a role playing atmosphere that promoted more creative freedom than most other places. For a time, we were running strong but, as time passed, we started losing people to the places they had originated from. We also learned how hard it is to compete against the mega-boards that are out there. A lot of time and effort was put in trying to keep things going but it has run its course.
I do want to recognize a few people who have helped me along the way.
Raven Skywalker is the only other founder here other than myself. She has stuck by me from the very beginning and I cannot thank her enough. She is not just a great writer, but a very good friend. Raven has stuck with me for a long time and can be seen at SW:UT and THE.
Sara Arkelion was the first member we ever promoted to our staff. She too has been around for as long as I can remember and has always been there through thick and thin. She too is an outstanding writer and close friend. She writes just about everywhere these days but I know for a fact she is departing for SW:UT, TGC, and THE.
Bill Gould joined our staff a very long time ago and proved how much we needed him from the start. He added a vast knowledge of the Star Wars Universe and was a huge help to me. He too has been here with me through a lot. I cannot thank him enough for all he has done here and I wish him the best of luck over at Chaos Theory. They truly are getting some A class talent. Bill, you will be a friend to me forever.
I myself will be retreating to THE and will frequent SW:UT. I can also be seen popping up over at TRF where I got started. Aside from THE, my board owning days are over and I will let my writing run its course. When it does, I will contently hang up my role playing and call it a day.
All the material written here will remain viewable. Feel free to copy it elsewhere or link it as a reference for transferring to other boards.
I thank each and every one of you who have stopped by and wrote a sentence or two. It was because of you that kept us going and wherever you go know that we truly appreciated it. SU may be back one day, but for now it is best we let it be.
